hey guys, goofily swerving around this site i see 2 sugesstions for tunes.Poppa Chubby and Change my Mind. never heard either but will try to find and practice. hope right keys.
also picked some others from Roger A. fine examples selections songbook from maybe a moth ago that we played, or that i already play and can brush up on or that i like the tune, so ......maybe / maybe not these will fit the night. these include : Motel California (worth the effort) , Cant You See, Sporting Life, Knock Heaven Door, Act Naturally, Margaritaville, and Honky Tonk Female. Question: can Honky tonk be in A (my key for it) ? if not and HTW must be in G for vocals, I can bring a 2nd guitar tuned down. I gotta have access to open string twanging for that one so detuned guitar keeps me in "A". hope to hear. yes no
i Note i took the time to type out lyrics to Motel Calif a year ago and put chord changes exactly on sung syllable when chord does change. allows slow learners adn non music readers like me to play as good as possible while getting used to a tune. Happy to bring copies. looking forward to tuesday
