I'd like to add a song by Popa Chubby

69 Dollars

This is all I could find on youtube it gives you an idea of how it goes but it's too fast, the studio version is much better.

Here's the lyrics and chords

Basic chord progression    Am   Dm  F9  E9    little riff

Intro solo

AM
My baby gave me 69 dollars go to the liquor store

Dm                                        Am
My baby gave me 69 dollars going to the liquor store

F9                                 E9                                 Little riff
I got a bottle of gin,   I ain’t got my baby no more-- no more, no more, no more

Am
My baby left me early this morning said, daddy you don’t treat me right

DM                                                         Am
My baby left me early this morning said, daddy you don’t treat me right

F9                                                     E9
You go out in the evening and you don’t come home in the night

                         Am/stop              Am/stop       Am/stop                     Am/stop

I got a bottle of gin,   I ain’t got my baby no more-- no more, no more, no more

                 Am /Stop                  Am/stop             Am/stop                  Am/stop

F9                             E9                                     little riff
I got a bottle of gin,   I ain’t got my baby no more-- no more, no more, no more

Hi Guys,

Any suggestions from the other singers?

Lee, I think the Popa Chuby song is cool, I'll try to learn it.
I think the chords should be F to E9 not E9 to D#9 right? Kinda like Stormy Monday, a sharp 5th chord
( 1 half step higher then resolved to the regular 5 chord).

I'd like to try some Stones in open tuning
Beast of Burden-D
Brown Sugar-C
Honky Tonk Women-G
Happy-G
Start me up-D
Zep
Ramble on-E
When the levee breaks-A
AC-DC
The girls got rhythm-D
You shook me all nite long-G
LOng way to the top if you want to R'n'R-E

I did it while I was on an layover in Detroit.
I fixed that plus I lyrics
I'll learn the AC/DC stuff but who's going to play the bag pipes?

Andy?
I thought I wasn't seeing things.
We should learn it for an upcoming Jam, it would be fun to do.

Your "Funeral My Trial" done by Joe Bonamassa would a fun one too and it has a great Harp solo on the studio album.
find the studio version as the guy's 12 and rocks the harp
Also in the same chording by him with a twist is "So It's Like That" Both are great Blues rock tunes.
